Day 4: Sunrise Visit to the Taj Mahal – Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri and chand Baoli

En route, stop to explore the historic city of Fatehpur Sikri, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural marvel. Founded by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for a brief period. The site features an impressive array of Mughal-era structures, including the grand Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, and the revered Tomb of Salim Chishti. Although the city was later abandoned due to water shortages, it remains a striking testament to the vision and craftsmanship of the Mughal era then we  stop at the village of Abhaneri offers an enriching experience, especially to explore the architectural marvel known as Chand Baori. Located in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, Chand Baori is one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India and a fine example of ancient Indian engineering and craftsmanship. The structure features 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect geometric symmetry, descending 13 stories to a depth of approximately 100 feet.

Day 6 : Drive to Delhi – Train to Haridwar – Transfer to Rishikesh

After an early breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive back to Delhi (approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes). Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative who will assist you with your transfer to the railway station to board the train to Haridwar.

Your train departs from Delhi at 15:25 hrs and arrives at Haridwar Railway Station at 19:33 hrs. Upon arrival, a member of our local team will meet and assist you with your onward transfer to Rishikesh—a serene town nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas and often referred to as the Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas.

Set against a backdrop of lush hills and traversed by the holy River Ganga, Rishikesh offers a tranquil and spiritually enriching atmosphere. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,360 feet (415 meters) above sea level, it is believed to be the land where sages and yogis have practiced yoga and meditation for centuries. According to Hindu mythology, this sacred site is also where Lord Vishnu vanquished the demon Madhu, signifying the triumph of good over evil.

Day -9: Departure
